. During my time at UCSC I helped to found a group called the Brain, Mind and Consciousness Society. We started out as a small group of students interested in taking charge of their own education, by integrating disciplines such as psychology, physics, biology and philosophy. The BMC soon grew into a campus-approved group, and we began putting on events, including student led lectures and a three-day summit with guest lecturers. The BMC then evolved into an approved 5-unit course available at UCSC, for which I was a Teaching Assistant. The class continues to be taught each quarter. I am passionately interested in matters of human consciousness, holistic community development, and social issues taking place both nationally and around the world.
